Located on the North East Coast of Scotland, The Cromarty Firth is the territorial region of the Intelligent Wilderness project.  The region is predominantly rural but its coastal towns are well known for the role they historically played in the heyday of the oil and gas industry which drastically affected the character of these towns and surrounding landscape since the mid 20th century.
