Cromlet Brownfield

Invergodon has very little officially designated outdoor public space with just one 0.7 acre public park accommodating the town's population of 3,980 people.  The largest outdoor spaces in the town are the abandoned brownfield sites of Seabank Tank Farm and Cromlet.  These sites were used in the Second World War to store fuel in large tanks.  The tanks still remain at Seabank Tank Farm but were demolished at Cromlet to make space for housing.  The remaining, unmanaged land at Cromlet has begun to regenerate into an urban wilderness.

For this reason Cromlet has been selected as the site for the Intelligent Wilderness Exhibition, for locals of Invergordon town, as well as visitors to the area to explore.
